When will Quick Blur be available?

Will it be free?
Yes. The core features (full-screen blur, hotkey toggle, adjustable intensity) will be free forever. Pro will unlock power features like custom blur zones, presets, and multi-monitor support for a one-time C$9.99 (no subscription).
Does it work during screen shares?
Yes. The blur overlay renders on top of your desktop content, so screen sharing tools (Teams, Zoom, Slack, Google Meet) capture and transmit the blurred view. Your audience sees what you see.
Does it need admin rights?
No. Like all MicroCafe apps, Quick Blur is a portable single-file EXE that runs entirely in user space. No admin rights, no installer, no registry changes. Works on locked-down corporate machines.
Can I blur just part of the screen?
Yes, with Pro. You'll be able to draw custom blur zones over specific regions (e.g., blur your chat sidebar but keep your presentation visible). Free version blurs the entire screen.
Will it work with multiple monitors?
Multi-monitor support is planned for the Pro version. Free will cover your primary monitor.
Is it safe? Does it collect data?
100% safe. Runs fully offline with zero telemetry, no analytics, no cloud. The only network call is a one-time Pro license check (if you upgrade). Your screen content is never captured, stored, or transmitted.
